I have been testing the "Sink the Yamato" patrol for the last week. I wanted to
see if the Yamato TF would indeed make all the stops that I had in the editor
makeup. I had its TF make a large circular patrol starting in Japan and then
ending in Japan but stopping at various ports for limited amounts of time. I knew
the best way to find it was to wait at a paticular spot on its route. What I didn't
know was when it would get there BUT I do now. I just sank the Yamato along with 22 other merchants (while I was waiting) also 1 DD by accident (should have been 23 merchants). Going by what tater had said about going .001 speed at a port, I deceided to try that feature to simulate the TF stopping at the port for
fuel or the like. The TF had approx. 6 port stops. ranging from the Philippines
to Palau to Rabaul, down the slot, around the Solomons and then on to Guam
and Saipan befor heading back to Tokyo. I started the patrol at Brisbane on
June 6, 1943. My tonnage was a modest 182,374. All in all, a very good patrol.
Side Note: I saw Adm. Halseys Carrier TF in my travels too. (it came from the
camapign layers, not my editor)
