How can a trade union "annex" anything? Each nation has its sovereignty, but the EU as an international intergovernmental body has not, it is no state or nation. And. it. has. no. own. army. According to the OSCE Chairman, the referendum was not constitutional and therefore illegal. Both preparation and implementation were even less in line with international standards than in the referendum in Crimea.
