Some years ago, I had a faulty gtx 470, for example, that kept rebooting my computer whenever I tried to play any games.. After I bought a new card everything worked as intended..

If other games work on your system without your PC suddenly rebooting, I sadly have no idea what your problem is..

Maybe try to google the error code?:

Oh yeah, I don't disagree that it's usually an indication of something being seriously wrong with the power or hardware. However this is the first unexpected shutdown of the computer.

I did take a look at the event log. I didn't see anything suspicious under 'system', only that an unexpected shutdown took place, apparently it went so fast it couldn't even take a memory dump.

In the 'application' section however I found this:

Quote:
Faulting application name: sh3.exe, version: 1.4.0.1, time stamp: 0x00000000
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000
Faulting process id: 0x25ac
Faulting application start time: 0x01d349d557f61ae9
Faulting application path: C:\Games\sh3wac50\Silent Hunter 3\sh3.exe
Faulting module path: unknown
Report Id: 797013ae-3ade-4f39-a9ea-b198c672aa4f
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:
I hope that helps
