I'm about 5 years late to the party!
Have you guys ever found a fix to the problem? M38B is one of the ships that has the issue. I looked up SH3.sdl and M38B.dsd in data/sea, it uses Liberty sound files and I don't find anything missing.
I have no clue what's wrong...
