I knew there was some controversy about whether there were arms stored onboard (secondary explosion forward), recenlty verified - (did i read that somewhere?). But I had not known it was also partially armoured, and designed with hostilities in mind. WW1 would have been the first war like that with liners being attacked - what prompted that design feature I wonder?
