Default AMERICAN AND BRITISH HEDGEHOGS

I decided to raid Porstmouth along the southern coast of England.

Inside the harbor the water is 20 meters. There are two destroyers stationed just outside of the harbor. I came in at night on the surface and got within 6000 meters without being seen. As soon as I went to periscope depth however both destroyers hear me and began to sail into my direction. Up to this point they had both been absolutely still as if at anchor. I headed towards the southern entrance to the harbor.

The first destroyer came around me and missed with the depth charges. He was to far starboard and aft as I had went to Flank speed. The second be now behind me closing when I heard a tremendous noise and realized they had used hedgehogs on me. I stole a camera view to see my entire forward half of the bow rise out of the water because of the explosive blast of the hedgehogs. The game program sensing my boat was surfaced assumed this was planned and left me on the surface instead of falling back in the water. The resulting damage and deck gun fire of the escorts left me dead in the water, on the bottom where I tried to get as many men out as possible through the hatches as the water was shallow enough to swim to the surface.

I had never seen anything like this happen. They literally blew me out of the water. Hedgehogs are now a scary thing to me LOL

RECON REPORT: Southern harbor entrance has a submarine net just far enough under the surface so surface ships can pass over it but not submarines submerged. The north entrance is clear to enter.
