You want to adjust the TDC while using the periscope! What you propose is not appropriate. Those gauges are United States property and contain the top secret position keeper, which will never be in a U-Boat. Transplanting them would earn the modder an execution for treason.

However, in SH3, there is a fabulous tool, reproducing actual German devices, called the OLC GUI. It brings up actual German TDC panels while in periscope view. It also features a really cool whiz-bang trigonometric calculator to calculate AoB ising the aspect ratio method in seconds! It's authentic! It's absolutely ingenius! It's ultra-cool!
