Hi Red Devil

I think you will have opened up a good debate with your question.

When SH4 came out in 2007 to have a mod like RFB to come on the scene must have been ground breaking.

Although RFB has been modded to v2.0 unfortunately it has not been touched for years which is a pity as other interface mods have been.

A lot of you guys have never heard of TMO v2.5 little brother TMOwtw 2.50 wTw stands for With Training Wheels.

Do not let that put you off as this is one hell of a good interface package with full campaigns and crew structures and a little lighter AI.

That is one reason why I say to anyone trying out this mod do not immediately stick RSRDC on it.

Have a look around the mod and you may be pleasantly surprised.

The graphics are very good and the coloured controls light when activated which is very useful to know what is operating.

The mod comes with very useful PDF instructions and also other useful information is included in the manual.

TMOwtw2.50 comes with Air Search Radar built in so there is no renown needed.

It has a special icon that takes the sub to Radar Depth which is a little higher than Periscope Depth.

The T key raises and lowers the Radar mast.

Very useful when you have gone deep and need to know what might be coming at you from above.

The mod also has Surface Hydrophone installed which is a static device.

This is combined with the Active Sonar and this device has its receivers mounted in the Conning Tower with a Range of 10,000 yards.

US subs in WWII actively used their hydrophones on the surface.

One of the best introductions is the F6 Attack Map Shortcut Key.

No mousing around trying to find the Attack Map Icon when the heat is turned up as the two shortcut keys take you between the Periscope and the Attack Map.

Talking about Periscopes you sort of have 3. Observation Scope and 2 Attack Scopes with their own icons.

One is for daytime and the other for nightime.

The nightime one allowing a little more light in.

The mod also comes with a useful add-on Max Optics for TMOwTw which includes the Binocular mod already built in.

Last but not least is if you go on the bridge and turn round you will notice the flag magically blowing in the wind. Oh yes it is the icing on the cake.

Download to RFB you are looking for.

Do not forget also to download the RFB update patch.

I hope some of you will take the trouble to investigate TMOwtw 2.50.

This is quite a large download so will take a bit of time.
