I use a follower mod that allows better handling of them, also to lead a group of up to three. Originally I had Grandfather with us, but two men and two girls where just one men too much and one girl too few.
So I kicked the old dog out, and now its just me and the babes. Three angels for Charly, ehm, for me, I mean.
Keeping them properly dressed and uparmoured and bringing up the coin to keep them supplied with arrows which they love to shoot by the dozens, is an all-day-long business, I tell you.
