Things are moving along. I finished last night my second patrol of the first campaign (Coastal Waters). Lots of duds (I might have to stop shooting from 90 degrees and see if that helps) and some misses.
I had 3 torps left and was heading back towards base when at night, I stumbled upon a decent convoy, moving fast at 12 knots and either unescorted or scort was on the opposite side. I was able to lock and follow target (space bar and x) with the UZO. As I approached the convoy, I dived for a periscope attack since maybe some were armed merchants and didn't want to risk it. I could see the ships with the attack scope, but could not lock them or follow them
. The ships looked like shadows... it was weird and kinda halloweenish hahah! I got frustrated since I couldn't lock the targets to get the data... so I just fired by estimation and 2 missed but 1 hit a large ship for 10k tons. Not too bad.
Has anyone experienced the issue of not being able to lock the target? It was night and maybe some fog and the darned periscopes would not lock.. (the UZO did).
