You mean DW campaign? Vanilla campaign is NOT compatibile with RA

maybe the game factors in the towed array dragging on the seabed but even at 3-6kts and arrays only deployed less than 20% they break after a few minutes.

It looks like wrong installation.
In DW TA could be break only by
- exceeding maximum speed
- moving back
