The twin 40's were available in early - v.1.3 versions of SH4 and were a lot of fun, however many things changed with v.1.4 & v.1.5 including the loss of the twin 40's, and CCIP's easy way to get realistic submerged ranges. (Both issues have been solved by ingenious people)

Ready use ammunition was kept in pressure-proof lockers near the gun positions, where it was easy to get at.
