Quite right! And I am also not interested in using their work; for me, modeling the ships myself is a large part of the fun.
Although I do admire the skill of the World of Warships team; in fact, I use their ships for reference purposes when I work in wings3d. However, I will not be using WoW components in the mod.
Certain subsimmers have offered their own WWI models; these will be (gratefully) used. With attribution.
