If you download the RSRD mod it is. In fact almost all of the convoys Japan ran during the war are modeled and the historical battles are recreated brilliantly.(It's fun watching as the Dive Bombers shatter the Midway Force and seeing those flattops explode is a sight you'll never forget.)
