The OP should wait and see how the new Nvidia "Fermi" comares with ATI's most recent release as well as ATI's "coming soon" 2GB versions of the 5800 series ad 4GB versions of the 5900. However, the "Fermi" is suspected to only yield about a 10% increase in performace over ATI's latest offering ad will cost more (not to mention the power requirement....omg). Lastly, nobody is sure of the "10%" Fermi has over ATI is oly in certain circumstances. Either way, wait for Nvidia's latest product, see how that performs, then wait to see what ATI's response it (either price or hardware wise).
