Path shouldn't matter but it does this when it is installed both under steam's app cache and when I just have it in my generic games folder on C:\

C:\games\Silent Hunter III\etc......

I had it in the GOG folder earlier, but that doesn't really matter. I know people suggest moving stuff out of steam because there is the possibility that it gets overwritten with stock files there. I did try with the 4gb patch.....but then I was thinking as I typed this......

OMG. I'm an idiot. It works fine once you set compatibility to Windows 7. I don't know why I didn't think of checking that.

I reapplied some optional GWX mods and lo and behold my save game that I've been working on for years still works fine. Yay. I'm almost in 1943 and I have almost 300k in tonnage sunk. My first time out with a Type II, I sailed right up into a harbor and sunk a revenge class battleship. Good times. The war is about to get really **********ing tough so I might just have to cheat and give myself a type XXI. I've been playing a parallel career in SH4 and I think I'm actually liking the german side better due to the greater challenge. And that's playing SH4 with TMO, which I think makes the escorts unrealistically accurate and aggressive. I mean I can't even see a ship, it's night and pouring rain and they're shelling me already? WTF Ducimas? But I'm way digressing here.....

Anyone know how to make lights not shine through everything on nvidia? Even with AA off that bug persists no matter what I try.
