I believe this works.
Open the DangerousWaters.ini file, and go down to the [Sound] section.
This seems to reduce the ping sound, however I had to set it all the way down to 10 to lower the sound..

.MaxPingVolume 10 (This was set to 70 when I opened the file. Even tho the in-game setting is set to (1) this was still 70?) Doesnt make a lot of sense
