Sommerstad (Norway) The cargo ship was sunk in the Atlantic Ocean 30 nautical miles (56 km) south east of the Fire Island Lightship ( United States Navy) (40°00′N 69°00′W) by SM U-117 ( Kaiserliche Marine). Her crew survived.
