Can't speak for other players, when I was testing, I never had a single CTD, except at the beginning of the war in the Narwhal, when not using Large Address Aware.Exe, which was the only time I started in Pearl. All other times, I started in Manila, usually in an S-boat at the beginning of the war and never went past April 1942.
Could be something to do with later war missions or ships one might encounter in a Central Pacific campaign. Or, not.
