Indeed it's hard to imagine how a creature the size of a dragon would be able to surprise you, but it just happens. I just had a pretty similar experience to that of Frau's, only that I came out of a cave. I ran maybe 20 meters and heard a *THUMP*, turned around and saw an Elder Dragon scorching Lydia
