I wish I had Soviet records for monthly losses on the Finnish front.
If there is nothing else of interest to write, I usually pick
one attack from the HQ war diary and put that in the post, but there are often anywhere from 1 to 4 attacks daily against Finnish positions in different sectors all of them relatively small battalion/company size.
For example, on the 12th there were:
1 (company) attack on Aunus Isthmus
1 (battalion) attack on Maaselkä Isthmus
1 (200-men) attack in 14th Division area (Rukajärvi)
Seems like a waste of men.
