I've always been interested in the Fleet series of war games published by Victory Games, designed by Joseph M. Balkoski. Just recently I was able to setup an old computer game based on these rules, Avalon Hill's "5th Fleet." Old DOS game published in 1994, I was able to use DOSbox to get the game running on my old Toshiba Win7 laptop.
