Ah yes, the folder issue is a known issue since long.


On your patching aftermath problems, you can delay patches by 30/35 days, also define your internet connction as a metered connection, this will likely save you from getting W10 1803 or higher enforced on you for another 365 days.


Every six weeks or so just reverse the metered-setting to get the old patches of the last 5 weeks, which by then hopefully have been patched a bit themselves. Do so one or two days before every second Tuesday of the Month, to avoid getting the newest,dirtiest patch garbage that Microsoft releases every second Tuesday.


Note: the curren status with their latest patches is especially grim, last time it was that bad was in January. Avoid, avoid, avoid.


The old advice to always be up to date with oatches, is no longer valid, it is exactly the other way around these days: stay unpatched as long as you can.



Best advice: run Windows 10 only on a machine that never accesses the internet, never.
