I think if you get the game running it will be easy to tell which version it is by pressing ctrl-v while running the simulation. The unpatched version will be: Version sim 4.27, shell 4.7 (AOD v1.0). The 1.1 patch will upgrade AOD to: Version sim 4.30, shell 4.8 (AOD v1.1).

The 1.2 version adds "Ride of the Valkyres" & "It's a long way to Tipperary".

What do you mean the file properties do not show?

Here's a way to play Aces with an online emulator

Thanks Neal. I've tried the online emulator, works fine, but can't save a game.

By file properties, usually by right-clicking on an .exe file, the version of it is listed, in this case it would read 1.2 if patched, but it shows nothing.

I have the 1.2 patch, and can't get it to install in dosbox (or any other way).
In dosbox, I keep getting an error message from the patch saying no installed version of aod can be found in the directory I specify.

I.e., to install the patch, one types aodpatch <directory where the game is installed here>.

Even though I put the path to the game via above, I get the error message.

Game runs fine, but it's version 1.0
