Although MS says Starforce has passed the 64 bit tests, I'm going to guess that it's a newer version than the one SH3 is trying to install. I'm figure it's also safe to say that the older version doesn't support 64 bit, or has issues with it, so it's not (fully?) installing. Then when you try to upgrade, SF is dying.

This post is a bit old so I'm hoping things have improved since then.
I have the same problem as others namely that the Starforce protection system is incompatible with Vista64bit.When you patch it with the strfcpd patch(it's not quite the name as I can't remember the actuall name right now but you know what I mean)it says there's no driver to update.I just wanna know if there's a patch out there that can take care of this or do I have to reinstall my system to 32bit to be able to play.By the way,It's the same thing with Grand Prix 4 and it's protection system.Ain't that a bitch.
