Default

Is the card active? I had a similar problem and it turned out that the onboard graphics were set as the default while the wonderful card was sitting there doing nothing.

[edit] Forgot to tell how to do it.

1. Open the Control Panel
2. Scroll down to Nvidia Control Panel
3. Right near the top click on 'Preferred Graphics Processor'
4. Select 'High-performance Nvidia Processor'
5. Reboot computer

I don't know if that will help you, but it sure worked for me.
