The second Munar mission was a complete succes!
Rendezvous with orbiter after lifting off from the Mun.
Succesfully docked. This was followed by a quick lesson about center of thrust, and how it interacts with center of gravity. Pumped the fuel to the lander, ditched the orbiter and set off for home.
And got there too. Amazing.
With the Mun conquered without any effort at all (*cough*) it was time to set our goals further out. To Duna!
Encounter with Duna.
Slowed down enough for a proper orbit.
Pwetty.
To explore strange new worlds.
To seek out new dustballs and new oportunities for failure.
To boldly go where no probe has gone before.
To end up as a piece of space junk on a far away planet after a 216 day mission because of a minor slope. Who the hell engineered this thing?!
*reloads*
Better.
