I have a short list of other MODs installed on top of OM/OMEGU and I don't remember what it was like with just the basic OM for SH4_1.5...but...
Click on the camera icon in the toolbar at the lower left corner of the screen, you should see the gramaphone icon appear there. Click on that and it should appear on the right side of the screen.
At least, that's how it works in my setup, for both U-Boats and Fleet boats.
