I have found the error.
It has most likely occured because the glaring sun was shining into the bunker creating confusion in the textures. Also I didn't use Enhanced Visibility sub-mod, this one seems to make a big difference, at least with my computer and GPU.
I find the water and waves nearly perfect with this setup, but there are surely other possibilities.

I will try out how SH5 plays out with 'hurricane' waves, even more realistic, but very demanding for my computer probably.
