July 10th, 1940 - 3 kills total

Sortie#1 - 1 Kill

Got lost in the clouds somewhere over the convoy the Stukas were to bomb. After a few minutes I noticed I was over land, so waaaay over where I shouldnt be. Turned back to south and spotted an formation of 12 Hurricanes roughly 2000m below me in my 2o'clock. Dived in and aimed at the Hurricane flying on the far right of the formation. Had a quick glance over my shoulder and saw the Hurricane spiral downwards out of control. I claim that as a kill. Continued my dive to 500m and headed home.

Sortie#2 - 2 kills

Another escort duty for a convoy raid. ~40 Stukas with 76 109s babysitting them. Our flight was positioned to the rear, so the battle was on when we got there. I was in at around 5000m, watching the Stukas bomb the convoy with few successfull hits.Took me a good 3-4 minutes to find a good target to bounce on; a lone Hurricane flying towards England at sealevel (possibly out of ammo??). I inverted my plane and pulled back on the stick to get to a steep dive just as the Hurricane passed under me. Dont know what this one was thinking or doing but he never had any idea I was there, I was maybe 150m from him when I opened up with both MGs and cannons. Lots of hits on fuselage and left wing, which broke to pieces after a few more rounds. Kill if you ask me.

I quickly headed back towards the clouds, wouldnt want a Hurricane catch me down here without any advantages. I got to 1100-1200m when I spotted another low flying Hurricane on my 8 o'clock, heading away from me. A quick roll and pull from the stick. I dived to get the speed advantage in case he notices me. As I was closing, I decided to try the tactic I heard Galland used (Just read it from a book last night ), so I dived under the Hurricane and got a good hits to it's belly when climbing back up. Good tactic I must say, never knew what hit him! With a black smoke pouring out if it's engine, it slowly dived towards the sea. Parachute spotted. 2nd kill for the sortie.

Decided to call it for this time, so headed back home.

EDIT: Ow yeh and I got a new rule I follow occasionally. When I fly, I wear my heavy leather jacket, gloves and a hat under my TIR cap. ******* exhausting it is.
