To answer your question: Yes, in Germany we do use toilet paper and guess what we even electricity!:p And if you want to have some toilet paper on a German U-Boat you just have to ask for "Toilettenpapier". Sound familiar?:p
Last but not least: "Voraus" means "ahead" and "zurück" means "back". But I guess you already kniew that.
