All right but thats old :-)

you can find the AoB much easier when you know the course. No calculatioins required.

You have noticed the true course compas in your TDC device right? The upper dial represents targets true course. Just turn the AoB finder until the ship sign in the TDC compas is heading whatever the known course is.

Example: You have a target passing from right to left and you know the course is 240. First set up AoB to port, somewhere, it doesnt need to be exact yet. Then look at the upper tdc dial. The ship sign is heading to 22 (x10 = 220). That means you must correct it by 20°. Adjust it until the ship sign is heading 24.

No calculation and no ploting needed.
