Yes, that is the new SD scope. PPI support for the SD radar only came with the late-war improved (SV) radar. |
Actually, that's the SJ - Surface search radar. The SJ first appeared with an A-scope type display and later - through the SJ-a/SJ-1 version, gained the PPI type screen.
The SD - aircraft search radar - also had an A-scope, and was non-directional. We don't model that one as mannable station.
