ps; you can always stop at a "tender" Anchor icons on the map with striped blue and white and get a fresh loadout.
In fact if you finish a mission, stop at a 'tender' get refitted and radio in a patrol report
you will be assigned a new mission without having to sail into home port. (avoiding early retirement)
The catch is the load times for your saved game get longer.
