Bungo pete. That ex Japanese submariner turned destroyer captain. He know's his stuff. Reputed to be superhuman, or supernatural, the Bungo straights is known as a submarine graveyard. Unless your crazy good, or just plain crazy, avoid the Bungo Straights if you can. If you must go into the Bungo Suido, good luck, your going to need it.

Bungo Pete, by ducimus
Inspired by the nemises from the book and movie, "run silent, run deep".
Spawns every 4 days in the bungo Suido area, and takes bout 2.5 to 3 days to finish his patrol route. This destroyer is equiped with, 2 DC racks, 2 K guns, highly sensitive hydrophones and sonar, and is elite in crew rating. Unless your crazy good, or just plain crazy, it would be best to avoid him. Historical Note, the Real Akikaze is a name of a singlur ship from the a Minekaze class of destoryers:

Subsequenly, i used the Minekaze data files when creating the "akikaze destroyer"
NOTE:
On a spot of luck, Japan has no destroyer escorts in the stock sea rosters. By creating this unit as a destroyer escort, ive removed the possiblity of it being accidently spawned elsewhere in the campaign game since there are no "Generic destroyer escort" entries in the MIS files that im aware of. WIth this mod, Japan has only one destroyer escort.
