No problem! If you don't want to do the academy but grab those 1000 points then just go to
C:\Documents and Settings\<yourusername>\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg, and find the
NavalAcademy.log file.
There you just have to change the settings like this:
PLAYER]
Name=Heiko Fenn
Rank=12
Exam0=true
Result0=1000.000000
Exam1=true
Result1=1000.000000
Exam2=true
Result2=1000.000000
Exam3=true
Result3=1000.000000
Exam4=true
Result4=1000.000000
After doing that you should get the 1000 renown points.
