Hmmm... apparently, the more rep you have, the more your rep points count. So a rep vote by a guy with really good rep gives one a bigger boost than a rep vote by a guy with low or bad rep. You just counteracted bad rep by small-timers like Drebbel, Gizz, and Oberon
