I've tested out turning off Nvidia control panel AA and tried in-game AA using Shift+pgup. It did work but it seems to be a really strange form of AA where it just seems to blur the screen more and more in order to smooth out the lines.
Nvidia control panel smooths the jagged edges without the blurring effect, if you have access to control panel, definately use this way rather than in-game.
