Yesterday I played a game single mission and the event viewer and external viewer worked. Today I played Campaign and they do not.
I also noticed at times everything would freeze for up to 60 seconds or so, freeze meaning I could not click on anything. The buttons would not function but I could use keyboard command. Even when I moused over say the compass the larger compass would not rise nor could I affect any change other than keyboard commands. 60 later everything would be fine. It happened three times on one patrol.
By the way do not under any circumstances sink a hospital ship. Yes even Japanese ones ... they court martialed me for it. I had some luck and come across two unescorted slow moving convoys. Two Large Tankers, Passenger liner troop carriers and a few others but I sank the Hospital ship that was with one convoy.

and a court martial.
