Enjoying the mod.
First mission after receiving a new boat, USS Trout (USS-202), a Tambor class, which the home port is Midway. After insert an agent off the coast of Muroran, sonar reported a contact which later was a convey of warships and merchants coming from the area of Muroran. After sinking a Light Cruiser Tenryu class, we went deep (300 feet), silent running and about one knot of speed to avoid the escorts. after some time and distance from the pinging of escorts, came to periscope depth to have a look around. A ship was spotted and after locking the ship in the periscope view, I went to map (F5) to mark the location of the ship. Instead of a black dot on the map, I thought I had took a step back in time when I saw the red silhouette of a ship on the map.

Just thought this was odd.
The convey consisted of four warships and three merchants, leading was a DE Wakatake Class warship followed by a Medium Heavy Load Freighter, third was a Small Passenger Carrier. The next was the ship that the USS Trout sunk, a Light Cruiser Tenryu Class followed by a Medium Cooler. Bring up the rear was a DE Kaibokan Class and a Corvette Subchaser Class warships. All the ships were in a single file with the lead warship 'helming' ( I think this is what it is called) as it approached the USS Trout.
Weather was clear skies, light fog and winds at eight causing waves to come across the bow which helped the submarine go undedected.
