Don't know if the game is replicating some real world situation or this was just some oddity.

Sept. 1940, patrolling about 250km west of Brest, sea slightly too rough to use the deck gun. Sight two freighters in line, about 500 yds apart, headed NE ...at 1 kt. First one sees me just as I go to periscope depth, turns east directly towards me, and comes to a dead stop. Take him out with a stern torpedo. As he sinks the second ship has now reached the same spot, turns due east, and comes to a dead stop ...at the same spot. I wait for the stern tube to be reloaded and sink him. Both ships stopped and sank so close together that even zooming in full on the map it was difficult to see two separate icons.

Traveling in the open sea at 1kt? Coming to a dead halt? At exactly the same spot?
