Fratelli Bandiera (Italy) The cargo ship was sunk in the Mediterranean Sea 40 nautical miles (74 km) south east of Hyères, Var, France (42°23′N 5°28′E) by
SM U-39 ( Kaiserliche Marine).
Rita (Italy) The sailing vessel was sunk in the Mediterranean Sea south of Marseille, Bouches-du-Rhône, France by
SM U-39 ( Kaiserliche Marine). Her crew survived.
