This mod is not compatible with the transfer process.
Start the campaign with the Ahnenerbe WideGui 1920x1080 disabled, then enable it after you do a save.
You can use the default _LSH3-2015___GUI_WIDESCREEN mod and then swap them over.
To recap, add the mod after doing the Erobusngstelle and transfer.

This will make no difference as you still have the transfer process from Wilhelmshaven to Lorient and then the test mission.
Using a type IIA off the Rockall Bank exposes this subs limitations.
You will also find it extremely difficult to complete the missions with the IIA as you do not have enough fuel or torpedoes.
You should be able to upgrade after the first time you docked in Wilhelmshaven.
You should be able to select a VIIB in SH3Commander from the drop down box before your first test mission and also before you did the naval academy.
