Woody - very excellent tactics. I will often employ a similar tactic, "flying blind" at around 20 meters and navigating and firing simply by using my attack map. In this way, you do not have to pull a 'Harald Lange' and poke up your scope in the middle of a battle group.

Now, there are things on the SIM I cannot do, like running on one screw, or reversing one engine on a tight turn, but if I had full manual control of ballast and trim, I could pull off some neat attacks....
