Yes, my reasons were:
1. Most who use RFB also use RSRDC.
2. RSRDC has a significant number of additional ships. I didn't want a situation where most ships behaved themselves, but some were operating with alternate universe physics.
3. I am not crazy about the idea of having a lot of different versions, making for much confusion.
Honestly, I can't even tell you if the 'stock' RFB campaign is any good or not; I've never used it.
The reason for the difference between TMO + RSRDC and RFB + RSRDC is the crew roster and special abilities stuff in those mods. Those things can mess stuff up easily.

As long as none of the files are overwritten, it doesn't matter. I often tested a mod loadout with ISP last; as it made it easier to make small changes that way. Obviously, ISP must be after the mega-mod and RSRDC, if used.
