Well, to be fair, we tried to ford part of the river in our Hetzer a bit later, I was able to walk across it without swimming but as soon as Raptor drove in it threw him out of the vehicle and wouldn't let us back in.
That was around the point where he blew it up with a pistol and killed us both...
