He got offended once too often (actually, it was twice, iirc) by having so many people here doubt whatever it was that he believed in, despite a severe lack of proof otherwise.
I say twice, he flounced off once for a week and then came back for a few more days then went again.
I'll be following this thread with interest as I've never been happy with Il-2.
