In windows visva these are located in program files.
Change PlayerRank=11 to 12 from files Careers and Careers_0. Only last patrols are needed to change from both files. Make sure you have 8000 renown to keep that rank. Same goes for Korvettenkapitän except it's rank number is 13 and renown requirement of 15 000.
Reason you didn't get promoted was too much renown which results double promotion.

Ah, thank you. Commander now says Kapitänleutnant Franz Tromller. Now to change that multiplier to something a little less extreme.
