Yeah!Though it still goes through the Uplay"Checking For Update" process and you have to wait before it finally confirms that your PC is really disconnect from the internet.At least DRM is gone.I believe there will still be such DRM in UBI's new game but sooner or later that stuff in new games will go the way it is now.What's more,ubi has added OFFLINE MODE in new game's DRM like Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.That's wise indeed.
