Battle of Malta
Italian planes spot Britain's Battleship Task Force as it neared Malta and launch an attack with torpedo bombers.
BB4 HMS Rodney took two torpedoes. The warship is still functioning, but it can't take too many of these.
Italian submarines attacked and sank British destroyers screening the Task Force. DD1 sunk.
However, Britain's sub performance was even worse. As they hastily left Malta in daylight to counterintercept, they were spotted leaving their berths. The first two were destroyed by bombs, and managed to block the harbor entrance, causing a backup from the other boats which was attacked relentlessly by italian planes. British submarine factor eliminated.
